Graham Adams was selected to lead an intensive presentation at the 37th Annual Conference of the Environmental Design and Research Associate in Atlanta, Georgia. The title of his intensive was “How Designers Use Programming Information.”

The Adams Group Architects has been awarded a project at Morning Star Lutheran Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. The project will consist of a new worship center the church to accommodate their growing congregation.

December 2005
Union County Public Schools has awarded the Adams Group a new project. The new project consists of classroom additions to 3 separate elementary schools in the county.

November 2005
The Adams Group completed master planning and programming for over 1,000,000 sq. ft. of office and lab space for the State of Minnesota. The projects are complete and the departments of Agriculture, Health and Human Services are currently moving in. Myers Park Traditional Elementary School was one of the winners of the “Historic Charlotte Preservation Award.” Myers Park Elementary was presented with the award at the annual Blast from the Past benefit ceremony.

August 2005
The Adams Group has been selected in the Facility Guidelines for General Classroom Design. This publication is distributed by the Maryland State Department of Education. It is used by school planning committees for new school construction and major renovation projects. The document provides specific information for the design of the general purpose classroom at all grade levels.

August 2005
The Adams Group has been selected to appear in the American School and University Architectural Portfolio 2005 Edition. Southwest High School was selected in the "Outstanding Buildings: Work in Progress" section. The publication will be distributed in November 2005.

June 2005
The Adams Group begins design work on the new family life center at Stough Memorial Baptist Church in Pineville.

March 2005
Union County Schools has awarded the Adams Group with two new projects. The Adams Group has begun work designing two gymnasiums additions and renovation work to Piedmont High School and Forest Hills High School.

April 2004
Graham Adams, President and founder of the Adams Group Architects, was appointed by the Union International des Architectes as an international jury member for the Ideas Competition for the Planning of Fiume Veneto Island in Italy. The competition objective was to create a master plan for a 1,076,000 square foot site that is currently occupied by a cotton mill, a hydroelectric plant, and grain mill that date back to the 13th Century and convert the area into a community destination/center. The competition included creating a plan for a civic center, river park, museum, auditorium, sports facilities and housing. Mr. Adams was in Italy for two weeks in April to participate in the International Jury Meetings that included architects from Germany, Japan, Spain and Italy.

The Adams Group is awarded the Architectural Portfolio 2003 Outstanding Building Award from American School & University Architectural Portfolio, the premier showcase for education design projects for Myers Park Traditional Elementary School and Jamestown Middle School.
