Adams Group developed a master plan in 1987 for St. John's United Methodist Church that resulted in the new St. John's Center that includes a gym, fellowship hall renovation, children's classrooms, kitchen and youth areas. However, the Church has experienced rapid growth in recent years. This impressive growth has created a rising demand for accommodating many activities based on current needs and future growth expectations.

In 2003, Adams Group developed a new 10-year master plan based on a collaborative effort. The team developed a program for expansion, renovation and remodeling, where a set of floor plans was developed to illustrate the existing condition, current activities, and programmatic needs. Definition of growth needs resulted in three growth options designed to address the accommodation of all current and future activities. The updated master plan prioritized the needs of the church. The plan envisions a campus style scheme that provides a new children's building, discipleship and youth center, new gathering space, renovation of existing music and choir area, new drop off areas and parking, and renovation of the administrative offices. The Adams Group is in the process of designing the next building phase for St. John's United Methodist Church.
