St. Mark United Methodist Church

Through participatory workshops with members of the congregation, the Adams Group designed this full-recreation family life center. The facility provides a full volleyball/basketball court and dining space for 500. Acoustical controls were achieved through the effective use of sound absorbing blocks to accent the facility sound system. The administrative offices, storage spaces and educational classrooms are arranged around an all-glass atrium. The new glass-ceiling atrium provides a new entry and gathering space and has proven to be the symbolic heart of St. Mark United Methodist Church.
