Adams Group supports a team atmosphere in an open studio. A highly skilled staff works diligently to produce projects that meet design and budget parameters. The structure of our firm allows for close, personal participation by the Principals and staff. Graham Adams

Graham Adams, AIA

Graham has over 40 years of experience in the field of architectural programming, planning and design. Graham received his Master’s degree from North Carolina State University and his Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

 

Graham brings a broad range of skills and professional experience to institutional design. Graham has the distinction of being both an Architect and a Landscape Architect. He has an extensive portfolio that exhibits a wide range of architectural projects. 

In addition, Graham is extensively published for his accomplishments in participatory design. As one of the founding members of EDRA (Environmental Design Research Association), Graham firmly believes that a successful project is developed with the input of stake holders as well as the design team.

Melissa Rusch-Tidwell

Melissa Rusch-Tidwell

As a Partner at the firm, Melissa is involved in every aspect of the firm. Melissa works closely with the team and the clients to make sure everyone involved with the project is kept up to date with schedules and status. In addition, Melissa is involved during the early phases of the project assisting with programming and schematic design.

Melissa assist in facilitating the participatory design process during the early phases of the project. Whether it is design workshops, questionnaires or exploratory meetings with the stakeholders she will work with the team to compile and communicate valuable client input that will be integrated into the overall design of the project.

 

Melissa handles the interior finishes functions at the firm and will coordinate and select the finishes for the projects. Melissa has a Bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University and has been with Adams Group since 1997.

Rodney Dunham

Rodney Dunham

A graduate of NC A & T State University, Rodney has been a key member of the Adams Group team since 1998. Rodney is the Director of Construction Administration functions and is the main contact during the construction phase of the project.

 

In addition to leading the Construction Administration efforts at the firm, Rodney is also the code and technical expert for the team. Rodney coordinates with the team during the design and production phases of a project and coordinates the development of specifications. This role allows him to serve as a quality control point as the project goes through design all phases. Rodney will coordinate with the Owner and the project team during the bidding phase, contract award and project start-up through construction and close out.
